Blind and visually impaired athletes who race on a tandem behind a sighted pilot.
The B class is for blind and visually impaired athletes. They compete on a tandem bicycle, sitting behind a sighted, able-bodied 'pilot' who steers and contributes to the effort. All eligible levels of visual impairment race together in a single B class. The pilot is an essential part of the team, and both riders receive medals.
